Al Rahma Sunday School operates under the Islamic Society of Greater Lowell (ISGL), serving the Muslim community in Chelmsford, MA and surrounding areas. Our Sunday school program was established to provide accessible Islamic education focused on Qur'an, Islamic Studies, and Arabic language.
Our mission is to strengthen students' faith, build Islamic character (akhlāq), and develop proficiency in the language of the Qur'an. We believe that seeking knowledge ('ilm) is a form of worship and an essential part of Islamic tarbiyah (education and upbringing). Every child deserves to learn their deen in a supportive, nurturing environment.
We pursue academic achievement with dedication, high standards, and continuous improvement.
We cultivate strong Islamic manners, values, and spiritual awareness in every student.
We build a unified school environment where mutual respect, kindness, and support thrive.
At Al Rahma Sunday School, we believe that Islamic education is a trust (amanah) and a responsibility. We are honored to partner with families in nurturing the next generation of Muslims who are strong in their faith, knowledgeable in their deen, and exemplary in their character. Our teachers are committed to providing an environment where students can grow in their relationship with Allah, learn the Qur'an, and develop Islamic identity.
Our educational philosophy is rooted in Islamic tarbiyah—the holistic development of the child through knowledge, character, and spiritual growth. We thank you for trusting us with your children and look forward to continuing our journey of serving the Muslim community.
